The Public Works Educational Conference has returned and will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Loyd E. Williams Pipe Trades Training Center, 780 Commercial Street, in San Jose.  Keynote speakers include Ken Lau, Dept. of Industrial Relations – Ruben Rosales, Dept. of Labor – Eric Rood, Dept. of Apprenticeship Standards and Jill Nerone, Assistant DA, Insurance Fraud and Labor Trafficking.

There will also be a special presentation of the short award-winning documentary, “This Adventure Called California” produced by Jennifer Huang. The film follows the story of Arnoldo, who comes to California from Mexico to support his family only to meet brutality and despair in the workplace until a chance encounter changes the course of his life.  Watch the trailer by clicking here.

Who should attend? Building and Public Officials, Awarding Agencies, School District Officials, Business Agents and Union Reps, anyone associated with Public Works and Public Works contracts.

Space is limited and the event is free, light breakfast and lunch included.

Registration has closed – walk-in signups will be accepted as space allows.
